Keep frozen. For food safety and quality, follow the directions and cook thoroughly to at least 160 degrees F. Keep frozen until ready to use. Because microwaves and stove-tops vary, adjusting cook times and heat settings may be required. Refrigerate leftovers. Microwave: Recommended method. 1. Place pouch , printed side up, on microwavable plate. Do not cut slit in pouch. 2. Microwave on High 3-1/2 to 6 minutes or until thoroughly heated. A popping sound may occur. 3. Let stand 1 minute. Pull or cut to open, empty into serving dish; stir well. Caution: Hot! Stove-Top: Important: Do not heat pouch in boiling water. Heat 1/3 cup water to boiling in 1-quart saucepan. Empty contents of pouch into saucepan. Heat to boiling. Stir; cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated; drain.
