All you need: 5-6 lbs. desired foods (for best results, shrimp should be shelled and deveined. Cut fish, poultry or meat into serving-size pieces. Cut fresh vegetables into bite-size pieces); water or milk; vegetable oil or shortening. 1. Pour Breading Mix into a shallow pan or dish. 2. Moisten food with water or milk. 3. Roll each piece of food into breading until evenly coated. Fry as directed below. To Oven Fry: Cover bottom of shallow pan with melted margarine. Arrange coated food in single layer. Turn food in margarine to coat both sides. Bake in 400 degree oven according to chart below, turning food once. To Panfry: Heat 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch oil shortening to 350 degrees F. Add coated food and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on one side. Turn, reduce heat to 300 degrees F, cover and panfry according to chart below, turning food once. Food: Chops, Steaks, or Boneless Chicken Breasts - Panfry: 15-20 minutes; Oven fry: 20-30 minutes. Food: Bone-In Chicken - Panfry: 25-30 minutes; Oven fry: 45-50 minutes. Food: Fish or Seafood - Panfry: 8-10 minutes; Oven fry: 10-20 minutes. Food: Vegetables - Panfry: 2-3 minutes; Oven fry: Not recommended.
