Absorbs 3 times its weight. Lasts twice as long as shavings. Hypoallergenic. Superior odor control. Rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, rat, mouse, gerbil, ferret, reptile, bird. No. 1 odor control formula. Superior Odor Control: Healthy Pet is designed to control the formation of ammonia up to twice as long as traditional bedding. You and your pet's environment will smell better and you don't have to change the bedding nearly as often. More Absorbent: Healthy Pet absorbs 3x its weight in liquids so your pet's living space stays more clean and dry. Better than Pine or Cedar: Though many people enjoy the smell of pine and cedar, continuous exposure to these smells may not make for an ideal living environment for your pet. In fact, studies indicate that rodents and rabbits experience changes in liver function and blood chemistry when exposed to the aromatic hydrocarbons in these woods. The National Institutes of Health discourage the use of pine and cedar shavings as bedding materials in sanctioned drug studies. Healthy Pet is recommended by pet clubs, breeders, and veterinarians because it contains no aromatic oils. Dust Free: Because it's virtually dust free, it won't irritate you or your pet's respiratory system. Environmentally Healthy: Since it's made from virgin wood pulp (not recycled paper), a pet using Healthy Pet bedding will not be exposed to the inks, dyes, chemicals, or clay compounds found in most recycled paper products. Lightweight, easy to clean. Healthy Pet is lightweight and easy to carry. Healthy Pet doesn't clump up or mat down when wet, so cleaning has never been easier. Made in the USA.
