  9. 2 medium apple

  10. 1/2 cup PLANTERS Walnuts

  12. 1 cup powdered sugar

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 medium apple
  • 1/2 cup PLANTERS Walnuts
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Recipe Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, 1 tsp. of the cinnamon and the salt in large bowl; cut in 1/2 cup of the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.Beat egg and 2/3 cup of the milk with wire whisk until well blended. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Melt remaining 1/4 cup butter. Toss apples with butter, walnuts, brown sugar and remaining 1 tsp. cinnamon in medium bowl. Spoon evenly over batter.Bake 45 to 50 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Mix powdered sugar and remaining milk. Gradually add additional milk, if necessary, until glaze is of desired consistency. Drizzle over cake.
