Holiday Angus Rib Roast

  1. 1 rib roast, 6-8 lbs

  2. 4 Tbsp. vegetable oil

  3. 3 Tbsp. Market District Kosher Salt

  4. 1 tsp. Market District Tellicherry peppercorns

  5. 1 oz. thyme

  6. 1 oz. rosemary

Ingredients

  • 1 rib roast, 6-8 lbs
  • 4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 Tbsp. Market District Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp. Market District Tellicherry peppercorns
  • 1 oz. thyme
  • 1 oz. rosemary

Recipe Directions:

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Rub oil over rib roast, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place herbs on bottom of casserole dish. Place rib roast on a cooking rack that fits inside the dish and over the herbs (a turkey roasting pan works great). Do not cover. Place in middle of oven and cook for 25 minutes. Then turn oven down to 325ºF and roast for approximately 17 minutes per pound until desired doneness. Let rest for 15 minutes before carving. To carve, hold bones upright and following the bone line, slice downward until meat falls off. Trim any excess fat and then slice into desired thickness.
