Halloween Party Bark

Halloween Party Bark

Serves: 20
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Freeze Time: 30 minutes

Recipe Author:

  • 6 oz. Giant Eagle Pretzel Waffles (about 98)
  • 1½ sticks unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • 12 oz. bag white chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1½ cups Halloween candy such as candy corn, chopped mini candy bars, gummy worms, or Reese's Pieces
  • ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or white chocolate chips, melted

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a 9x13-inch dish with aluminum foil. Arrange pretzels on dish in a single, neat layer. Reserve 2-3 pretzels for garnish, if desired. Heat butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisking constantly until boiling; cook undisturbed for 3 minutes. Carefully pour over pretzels and spread evenly with an offset spatula.

Bake for 8 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle the bag of chocolate chips evenly over top. Let sit for 5 minutes until chocolate is soft, then spread into a thin layer. Sprinkle candies decoratively over top, pressing to make sure they stick. Break reserved waffle pretzels in half and nestle them into bark.

Drizzle or pipe melted chocolate over top and place in the freezer for 20-25 minutes or until hardened. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to use. Makes 20 servings based on 2 oz. portions.
