  • Swiss Cheese (also known as emmental or emmentaler) is easily recognizable by its large holes made by bacteria which eat the lactic acid in the cheese. Swiss is a yellow, medium-hard cheese that is naturally low in fat and salt, making it a perfect choice if you're watching your weight or looking for a healthy alternative to full-fat cheese. While Swiss cheese is made in a variety of nations, true Swiss cheese tastes different than other varieties.
