Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • 1-1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 lb. Emmi Emmentaler, grated
  • 1/2 lb. Emmi Gruyère, grated

Recipe Directions:

Rub the inside of a medium-sized heavy pot with cut sides of garlic. Over low-to-medium heat, add wine and bring to simmer. In a cup, stir cornstarch and a small amount of wine to form a watery paste. Gradually add cheese; stir constantly in a zigzag pattern, until cheese is melted and creamy. Stir in cornstarch mixture and bring to simmer, stirring until thick. Transfer to fondue pot and keep warm.
