1 lb. package fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and quartered (about 4 cups)
2 Tbsp. Giant Eagle® packed light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Market District® balsamic vinegar
1/4 tsp. freshly grated lemon zest
In a medium bowl, stir together the strawberries, sugar, vinegar, and lemon zest. Let mixture sit at room temperature for 15 minutes to release juices from the berries. Balsamic strawberries can be served over grilled pineapple, frozen yogurt, or ice cream.
