An accomplished and inspiring retail leader, Laura is the Chair and CEO of Giant Eagle, Inc., one of the nation’s largest multi-format food, fuel, pharmacy retailers.
Under Laura’s leadership, Giant Eagle, Inc. is delivering on its purpose of providing communities with life’s essentials, so its neighbors have the opportunity to thrive. Laura led the Company’s expansion and introduction to the Indiana market, grew GetGo through ground-up and acquisition, launched and evolved online ordering and delivery services, and championed a bold sustainability platform. Most significantly, she has architected and is leading a foundational transformation that will position the enterprise for growth and continued future success. Laura is deeply committed to community economic and workforce development, food insecurity and early childhood education serving as a trustee and on the board of directors for various organizations.
Previously, Laura served in numerous roles within the organization including Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, and Sr. Vice President of Marketing and President of New Formats. Prior to joining Giant Eagle, Karet served in brand management and marketing roles at Procter & Gamble and Sara Lee.
President of Supermarkets
Bill has been a valued member of the Giant Eagle team for nearly 40 years. Beginning as a Customer Service Clerk bagging groceries at a Giant Eagle supermarket, Bill has since held numerous leadership positions within the organization. In 2021, Bill stepped into his current role as President of Supermarkets, overseeing supply chain operations, retail innovation, real estate and construction, retail operations, merchandising, independent retailing/non-banner, and culinary operations.
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Greg is an accomplished leader with extensive experience helping fast-paced retail organizations meet their business and legal needs. Greg leads Giant Eagle’s Legal and Risk/Safety Departments as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and also serves as Corporate Secretary. Previously, Greg was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Chico’s FAS, Inc. and previously served in similar roles for The Limited.
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Kirk brings an extensive background in technology senior leadership roles across a range of industries. Today, he serves Giant Eagle as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer and leads our IT infrastructure, technology systems, data analytics, and IT transformation efforts. Kirk was previously the Chief Information Officer for The Christ Hospital Health Network, as well as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President Enterprise Retail Solutions at Kroger.
Don serves Giant Eagle as Chief Merchant, bringing a wealth of expertise in the field of merchandizing, including space, category, pricing, and promotions. Don’s role supports many of Giant Eagle’s strategic differentiation points – focus on fresh, pride in local and owned brands, dedication to quality and value, and continued emphasis on sustainability. Don helps leads the organization’s timely response to market trends and the development of integrated, omnichannel merchandising strategies. Don joined us from Whole Foods, where he served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising and successfully transformed their merchandising operations business model, leading to improved business results. Prior to that, Don spent 15 years in various merchandising roles at Target – from category management to merchandise operations.
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Transformation Officer
Robb is a strategic retail industry leader who brings nearly 25 years of financial expertise to Giant Eagle, including executive leadership roles with several Fortune 500 companies in the areas of corporate finance, investor relations, and M&A. Today, Robb leads all transformation efforts across the company, as well as our finance, and indirect procurement. Prior to Giant Eagle, Robb served in various financial leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Ascena Retail Group, Inc., a leading national specialty retailer that operated several brands including Ann Taylor, LOFT, and Justice.
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of GetGo
Tony bolsters our GetGo leadership team and creates connectivity across all parts of the organization. Tony has a passion for growing and developing people and businesses. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Tony leads GetGo operations, merchandising, culinary innovation, and the operations services & transformation function. Tony has an extensive background in retail and the fuel and convenience store industry. He spent 23 years with Thorntons Inc., where he led all functions of the 200-location retailer. Tony also served as Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer for Mapco and Senior Vice President of Operations for Cumberland Farms.
Chief People Officer
Janis Leigh is a seasoned leader with exceptional experience across all facets of human resources, strategy, and development. As Chief People Officer, Janis oversees all aspects of our ‘people’ function, including recruitment, people operations, total rewards, organizational effectiveness, and program management. Prior to joining Giant Eagle, Janis served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC), a retail business group, where she implemented people strategies for retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks OFF 5th.
Executive Vice President & Chief Customer Officer
Damian is an experienced marketer and technologist with over 15 years leading innovating teams, defining marketing strategy, and building digital marketing capabilities at internet scale. Damian joined Giant Eagle in 2018 to lead performance marketing before serving in his current role as Executive Vice President & Chief Customer Officer. Within the organization’s first-ever Chief Customer Office, he leads community and communications, growth and retention marketing, analytics and insights, loyalty and experience, and creative services. Prior to Giant Eagle, Damian was the Senior Director of Performance Marketing at Munchery, one of the first food ecommerce sites to deliver prepared foods in the Bay Area.
Executive Vice President & Pharmacy President
Jim joined Giant Eagle in 2017 and serves as Executive Vice President and Pharmacy President. He is responsible for retail/central/managed care operations, specialty, procurement, Rx/OTC wholesale distribution, pharmacy technology, pharmacy compliance/regulatory, and pharmacy marketing. His extensive executive-level pharmacy and healthcare experience includes pharmacoeconomics, pharmaceutical procurement, managed care operations, clinical and specialty pharmacy programs, health care regulatory compliance, government advocacy, and health care policy. Prior to joining Giant Eagle, Jim worked for Albertsons Companies and their predecessor companies, where he led more than 1,700 pharmacies.
Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Transformation & Retail Innovation
Graham Watkins is an accomplished and innovative leader with a proven track record of successful innovation implementations. As Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Transformation & Retail Innovation, he leads the supply chain, business development, innovations, and eCommerce operations functions. Under Graham’s leadership, Giant Eagle has concepted and launched numerous innovations, including Marketplace at Giant Eagle, which offers Curbside Pick-up and Delivery guests an extended assortment of products that aren’t offered in stores, digital advertising, and acceptance of PayPal in Grocery stores − an industry first.
