Drain the olives and giardiniera mix and finely chop. Peel garlic and finely chop. Slice bread down the middle lengthwise.
In a bowl, combine the chopped olives, giardiniera, crushed red pepper, garlic, oregano, red wine vinegar and olive oil.
Spoon the olive mixture on the bottom layer of the bed along with all the juices. Layer the ham and cheese. Place the top of the bread and wrap in plastic wrap. Place a sheet tray on top of sandwich with a few cans to weigh down the sandwich and let sit for at least one hour.
Slice sandwich into wedges and enjoy!
