Shrimp Skewers with Tomato

Make these shrimp skewers the centerpiece of your backyard cookout this grilling season. This healthy dinner recipe is sure to please, showcasing plump pink grilled shrimp and irresistibly garlicky marinated tomatoes.


  • 1 (10 oz.) bag Market District cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lb. Nature’s Basket shell-on shrimp, thawed
  • 2 Tbsp. Lawry’s® lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 (¾ oz.) pkg. Nature’s Basket basil
  • 2 Tbsp. Market District extra virgin olive oil, divided
  • 1 Tbsp. Market District balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper


  Prep Time: 10 min. • Cook Time: 10 min.

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Halve cherry tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Halve the lemon. Toss the shrimp with the lemon pepper and skewer.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of pepper. Toss together until everything is well mixed.

Place the shrimp skewers and the lemon halves on the preheated grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.* Remove lemon when it is nicely charred.

Serve the shrimp skewers with the marinated tomatoes and a nice squeeze of the grilled lemon.

*For food safety, cook shrimp until pink and opaque.
