Spicy Chicken Burger

with Chili Lime Slaw

  • 1 lb. Nature’s Basket ground chicken
  • ½ pkg. Giant Eagle taco seasoning
  • ½ bunch cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp. Giant Eagle diced jalapeño
  • 2 cups Giant Eagle cole slaw mix
  • 1 lime
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Giant Eagle mayonnaise
  • 4 St. Pierre® brioche buns
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil


Divide the ground chicken into 4 equal parts and form each into a patty. Sprinkle both sides of the patties with the taco spice mix to taste. Set aside.

Chop the cilantro and thin slice the jalapeño. In a bowl, combine the cole slaw mix with the cilantro and jalapeños. Squeeze on the juice of the lime, then add salt and mayo. Toss the slaw to coat evenly.

Cut the buns in half, then toast them in the oven or toaster. Spread mayonnaise on the buns, if desired. Set the buns on a plate.

Heat a large frying pan over medium-high. Add oil and heat until hot, about 1 minute. Cook the patties until they’re brown and there’s no pink on the inside, about 5 minutes per side. The meat should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

Add the chicken patties to the buns and top with slaw. Enjoy!
